Three years ago, I moved to a new town. My husband was starting a new job that was (and is) perfect for him in so many ways. But it has posed a bit of a challenge for me. I love to connect people. If someone tells me about something they’re passionate about, I want to help connect them with a cause that will help them live that out. If someone tells me they’re thinking about starting a nonprofit or want to write a book, I try to connect them to others who are interested in the same things. So you can imagine my dilemma when suddenly I have no idea who to connect them to locally! Over the course of these three years, I’ve started getting involved in some local groups and am again able to start facilitating those connections again.
Perhaps you also have something that is such a core part of who you are that you would feel lost without. What is it? Are there things you can do to increase your activity in that area?
Here’s a summary of recent articles and blogs related to fundraising and nonprofit organizations. As always, please share this with others might benefit from the information. Thanks again for reading!
